History
Multiplex Beverage History
The Welbilt Company was founded in 1902. Since that time, it has grown into a diverse manufacturer with industry leading products in Foodservice sectors.
To strengthen The Welbilt Company Foodservice sector, Manitowoc Beverage Systems, Inc. was formed in 1999 with the acquisition of five privately held USA beverage industry manufacturers. We are currently the second largest manufacturer of backroom installation kits, parts, accessories and equipment for the beverage industry.
Our umbrella with Multiplex Beverage Equipment (SerVend, Multiplex, Flomatic, Kyees Aluminum, and McCann's Engineering) and alliances with other key suppliers have positioned our company to be a total solution provider for beverage dispensing equipment and parts.
SerVend History
SerVend has been a leading manufacturer of ice and beverage systems equipment for the foodservice industry for over 20 years.
Since the 1980's, SerVend has grown from a small manufacturing facility operating out of a garage, where three employees spent one day building a single ice/beverage unit, to a 155,000 sq. ft. facility and has over 200 employees who build products that are distributed through a worldwide network of distributors.
SerVend has revolutionized the industry with innovations such as, the patented "U-shape" bin liner and "paddle wheel", maximizing ice storage, ice delivery and efficiency, and the rocking chute ice dispenser, helping to eliminate ice waste and spillage.
In 1994, SerVend acquired Flomatic International and added Flomatic beverage valves and beverage towers to the product line.

Then, in 2022 Manitowoc Ice was sold off with the purchase of Welbilt by the Ali Group.
